Danida

Danida is the term used for Denmark’s development cooperation, which is an area of activity under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Denmark’s development policy aims to combat poverty through promotion of human rights and economic growth in four strategic priorities: human rights and democracy; green growth; social progress; stability and protection.

Project

Strengthening Press Freedom in Mano River Union Countries

With support from Danida, UNESCO has supported Mano River Union countries in West Africa in strengthening press freedom with a focus on supporting enabling media legislation, developing capacities of media institutions, and promoting gender sensitivity and gender mainstreaming in the media.
