Policy Analysis
The dissemination and use of information and communications technology (ICT) in schools has come to be seen by education policymakers as a significant opportunity. They are attracted to the prospect that ICT can improve student achievement, extend access to schooling, increase efficiencies and reduce costs, prepare students for lifelong learning, and train them for a globally competitive workforce.
The Education sector studies the policy development process in five countries: Rwanda, Namibia, Uruguay, Jordan and Singapore in order to assist countries formulate effective ICT in education policies and at the same time reinforce national capacities in the targeted countries. This project as well promotes knowledge sharing across countries. One of the aims of this study is to realize a publication about ICT policies and educational transformation for sharing different approaches and issues related to ICT in Education.
