The collection of the historical documents represents the main documentary base to study the different stages of the history of Georgia. It also represents the earliest aspect of the Byzantine culture. All genres of the old Georgian secular or ecclesiastical literature are presented at the manuscript collection of the fonds such as bibliology, biblical apocrypha, hagiography, homiletics, hymnography, etc...
