The manuscripts known as “Beatus” are a serie of codexes and fragments that contain the copy of the “Comentary to Apocalypse”, attributed to the monk Beatus of Liébana, who lived in the North the Iberian Peninsula in the second half of the VIIIth century. Those manuscripts have been considered as the most beautiful and original produced by the Medieval Western Civilization.
