This International Conference on Higher Education is being organized by the Global University Network for Innovation (GUNI) and will be hosted by the Technical University of Catalonia (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – UPC) on November 30th to December 2nd, 2005.
The aim of the Conference is to share and exchange impressions among university leaders and experts in higher education from around the world. The Conference is specially oriented to those professionals who feel the need to readdress university policies towards a stronger social commitment. This year the Conference will be focused on the financing of universities, one of the topical key issues worldwide, that will also be the focus point for the GUNI this year 2005.

The Conference will be also useful to make GUNI annual activity public. The World Report on Higher Education: The financing of universities will be presented as the first issue of the Series on Social Commitment and 20 best university practices concerning the financing of universities, previously detected by the Observatory on Best University Practices, will be available.

The Conference will give you the opportunity to share your views with other university leaders and policy-makers and to discuss about the challenges for financing universities in the XXI Century.
