Round Table on "Migrant Women and Culture"

The Postgraduate Programme on “Migration and the Law”, of the Casablanca Faculty of Law, Economics and Social Sciences, the Migration and Humanitarian Laws Research and Study Centre (CERMEDH) and the UNESCO Chair on “Migration And Human Rights” of University Hassan II Ain Chock Casablanca have instituted the habit of celebrating the international women’s day by organizing yearly an academic forum on women’s migration.

Thus, in 2000 a Round Table was gathered on “Feminine Migration”, in 2001 a colloquium was organized on “The Girls’Migration” and in 2002 an international conference was summoned on “Women, Migration and Human Rights”

This year, these three academic institutions are organizing on Saturday 08 March from
9 to 12 o’clock a Round Table on “Migrant Women and Culture”. As usual, this Round Table will be held at the Faculty of Law of Casablanca, Km 8, Route El Jadida, Casablanca.
The main themes of this Round Table will concern women’s migration between the traditions and culture of the country of origin and those of the receiving country.

The Round Table will be followed the same day from 15 to 17 o’clock by the meeting of organs of the UNESCO Chair “Migration and Human Rights”: the Coordinating Committee, the Scientific Council and the Members.
