A series of inter-agency flagship programmes were launched or consolidated following the World Education Forum as a way to strengthen international cooperation, emphasizing the benefits of working together on major crosscutting themes that are important in achieving EFA.
There are currently nine partnerships in place working in different ways, with each partnership defining its comparative advantage. These programmes focus on the major thrusts of the Dakar Forum, for which special co-operative efforts are needed. More
