The purpose of this handbook is to support the efforts of educators to evaluate the quality of their HIV prevention programs.
It is comprised of nine interrelated yet separate booklets which address the following topics: a) Evaluating HIV Education Programs; b) Developing and Revising HIV Policies; c) Appraising an HIV Curriculum; d) Evaluating HIV Staff Development Programs; e) Assessment Instruments for Measuring Student Outcomes: Grades 5-7; f) Assessment Instruments for Measuring Student Outcomes: Grades 7-12; g) Choosing and Using an External Evaluator; h) Reporting Results of HIV Education Evaluations; and i) Evaluation of HIV Prevention Programs using Qualitative Methods.
