Members of the Government and of the National Commission for UNESCO of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, along with culture and heritage experts, joined some 30 teachers and school principals at a two-day Teacher-Training Seminar for ASPnet teachers on new educational approaches to the promotion and preservation of World Heritage.

The goal of the seminar, which took place in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, from 4-5 July 2003, was to extend the “World Heritage in Young Hands” project to the national ASP network and to familiarize teachers with the World Heritage Education Kit.

Participants also learned about the World Heritage Convention and other international instruments and recommendations.
