    Vanuatu joined UNESCO on 10 February 1994. The country is covered by the UNESCO Office in Apia, Samoa. Vanuatu has one UNEVOC centre.

    As of September 2006, the country has 6 schools participating in UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet).
