EDUCATION

    Marshall Islands

      The Marshall Islands joined UNESCO on June 30, 1995. The country is covered by the Organization’s Apia Office, located in Samoa.

      In August 2005, on the tenth anniversary of the country’s adhesion to the Organization, Director-General Koïchiro Matsuura, visited the Islands. As of September 2006, the Marshall Islands has 7 schools participating in UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet).
