Belarus

Belarus joined UNESCO on 12 May, 1945. The cooperation with Belarus, which was strengthened with the signature on 10 July, 2002, of a memorandum of cooperation between this Member State and the Organization, is particularly strong in the areas of education and science.

As of September 2006, Belarus has 12 schools participating in the UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet).
