Bulgaria


Bulgaria joined the Organization on May 17, 1956. No fewer than 56 Bulgarian schools are members of the UNESCO's Associated Schools Project Network, as of September 2006.

There are also four UNESCO Chairs in Bulgaria, the most recent being the UNESCO Chair in Culture of Peace and Human Rights, established in 1998 at Bourgas Free University.
