EDUCATION

Malta

Malta joined UNESCO on February 10, 1965. In the field of education, the capital of the Republic of Malta hosted the 6th session of the Intergovernmental Committee Responsible for the Application of the International Convention on the Recognition of Studies, Diplomas and Degrees in Higher Education in the Arab and European States bordering on the Mediterranean.

Malta has two UNEVOC Centres and, as of September 2006, the country has 57 schools participating in the UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet).
