Fields / Disciplines Social and spatial inclusion of migrants: urban policies and practice Objectives The purpose of the Chair shall be to promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation in the fields of the social and spatial inclusion of migrants: urban policies and practice. It will serve as a means of facilitating collaboration between high-level, internationally recognized researchers and teaching staff of the University and other institutions in Italy and elsewhere in Europe and North America, and in other regions of the world. The specific objectives of this Chair are: to produce better understanding on how to improve good urban governance top promote inclusion of international migrant; to exchange information on policies and practices that best respond to the challenges of inclusion in increasingly multicultural and transnational urban societies; to foster the awareness of policy-makers, government officials and the civil society at large on the importance of international migrants social inclusion.
