Ala El Dine Abdellatif, said Aldine, was born in Cairo (Egypt) in 1917. In 1953, Aldine first became Cultural Attaché to the Egyptian Embassy in France, then Director of the Office of Education and later Permanent Delegate to UNESCO. As of 1958 he devoted himself exclusively to painting and two years later held his first personal exhibition. His works are found in several museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris and the Museum of Fine arts in Lille (France). Aldine passed away in 1992.
