Barbados


Barbados joined UNESCO on 24 October 1968, and is covered by the Organization’s office based in Kingston, Jamaica.

The country holds a UNESCO Chair in Educational Technologies, established in 1999 at the University of the West Indies. As of September 2006, Barbados has 10 schools participating in UNESCO’s Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet).
