World Hunger

The Feeding Minds, Fighting Hunger lessons were developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as a starting point for teachers to introduce the topic of world hunger to their students. In order to contribute to its improvement, ASPnet co-operated with FAO in organizing two sub-regional workshops held respectively in Bamako, Mali (July, 2002) and Hyderabad, India (August, 2002).

“Feeding Minds, Fighting Hunger” in ASPnet schools

The manual consists of three lesson plans to be introduced at three levels of education: elementary, lower secondary and upper secondary. On World Food Day, 16 October - and throughout the year - students all over the world can use these lessons to gain a better understanding of hunger and malnutrition.
