From 26 November to 27 November training seminars on « Europe's experience in the recognition, validation and accreditation (RVA) of professional competence acquired from non-formal and informal education” and “Policy development in adult education- a successful international practice” will be organized in Tashkent with the participation of international trainers and experts.

The initiators of the seminar are: the branch of the German Adult Education Association in Uzbekistan (DVV International) in collaboration with the UNESCO Tashkent Office, the UNESCO Institute for lifelong learning (Hamburg, Germany), the Association for the harmonious development of adults and young people of Uzbekistan (AGRViMUS).

The purpose of the seminar:

To familiarize a wide range of experts and representatives of the three countries of Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan) with:

  • EU experience in the field of recognition and validation of professional competence acquired from previous education (formal and informal) and practical activities;
  • a successful practice of policy development in adult education by the example of several European countries and other regions of the world.

It is expected that up to sixty representatives of governmental, non-governmental and international organizations will take part in the seminars. Mainly it will be the representatives of adult education providers and organizations that are interested in the development of this sphere.

During the seminars, participants will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the current international discussions on adult education. The seminars will feature the latest practices in the development of legislation in the field of adult education and the development of mechanisms to its encouragement. Germany has valuable experience in these fields, where land laws of adult education have been established since the 70s XX century, the same as in the Nordic countries.
