"Mestizaje": Musical proposition of connection between cultures

Résumé

Mestizaje is a musical window open to the world and to its cultures. A musical itinerary in our global era. Through this project, we can get to know information on the different cultures concerning their roots, traditions and customs, popular songs that speak and transmit the idiosyncrasy of peoples, interviews with musicians, event organizers, associations, etc. Last but not least, in Maracena is celebrated annually since 17 years a festival promoting interculturality and solidarity with the world's peoples (Festival Internacional entre Mundos and Festival Internacional de Mestizaje) where have participated numerous artists from differnt cultural backgrounds; among others: Kepa Junkera, Carlos Nuñez, Orishas, Funkadelica, Zuco 103, Hijas del sol, Al-Baraka, Supervivientes, Delincuentes, O'Funkillo, Dusminguet, Amparanoia, Ambulancia Irlandesa, Macaco, Muchachito bombo Infierno, Brazilectro, Dub Foundations, Dissidenten, etc.).
The program Mestizaje will be open to all collaborations, working closely with NGOs, and promoting values in harmony with the defense of sustainable development and a culture of harmony and peace.
