In the framework of the International Year of the Rapprochement of Cultures, the César Egido Serrano Foundation and the Museo de la Palabra promoted the II International Contest of Storytelling "Museo de la Palabra", which objective was to highlight the value of speech as a vector for humanity that unifies people. Indeed the slogan of the Museo de la Palabra is "speech links humanity"(la palabra es el vinculo de la humanidad). In this way oral communication becomes the only tool for resolving conflicts between people, civilizations, cultures and religions.
In this particular edition the narrations were presented in more diverse languages; besides Spanish there were interventions in Arabic and Hebrew. In this sense, the languages that express faith in the three monotheistic religions of the wolrd have been reunited. Presentations were also made in English as it is the main language of communication today.
