Becoming an Associate Expert at UNESCO

The Associate Experts’ Scheme established by UNESCO every year provides young professionals with the opportunity to contribute to international technical cooperation.

To guide you in this process, the required qualifications are listed below:
 
10007759_250.jpg If you are eligible for the Scheme, you will thus have the opportunity to use your skills to help strengthen UNESCO’s work in one of its fields of action: education, science, culture, communication, or in administration.

As the national of a country participating in the scheme, you will be able to further your experience in an international setting.

Status and entitlements of Associate Experts at UNESCO

Because you are contributing to international development as an Associate Expert, UNESCO, in agreement with the donor country, pays you a salary, emoluments and other benefits commensurate with the specific status of United Nations staff.
