1This Protocol entered into force on 16 September 1955. It subsequently entered into force for each State at the date of deposit of that State’s instrument, except in cases of notifications of succession, where the entry into force occurred on the date on which the State assumed responsibility for conducting its international relations.

2Date upon which an instrument of ratification was deposited on behalf of the President of the French Republic, Co-Prince of Andorra.

3Date upon which this State deposited with the Director-General an instrument of accession to Protocol 1 annexed to the Universal Copyright Convention as revised at Paris on 24 July 1971. In accordance with paragraph 2(c) of that Protocol, Protocol 1 annexed to the 1952 Convention is regarded as having entered into force for this State on the date on which Protocol 1 annexed to the 1971 Convention entered into force for it.
