International Women’s Day

2008 Celebrations

This year, the Division for Gender Equality of the Bureau of Strategic Planning organized a series of events, which drew attention to key gender-related contemporary themes. In tandem with a Round Table titled “Gender Equality – Make it Your Business.”, UNESCO presented a number of colorful and innovative exhibitions that paid tribute to women’s participation in fields as varied as peace building, filmmaking, and the fine arts.
