CI Windhoek Namibia August 2013 -Better and wider access to ICT is said to be changing the way community radio produce and broadcast their programmes. As one of the activities planned by Unesco Windhoek office as part of the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) funded project, a training was conducted for 5 correspondents and a station manager of Ohangwena Community radio in Eenhana Ohangwena region, Namibia. The training that took place from 19-23 August 2013 aimed at establishing a network of correspondents and increases their knowledge of ICTS in various areas to support local programming and broadcasting. More

CI Windhoek Namibia July 2013 - As part of the UNESCO SIDA sponsored “Empowering Local Radio with ICTs” project, Bush Radio and Radio Atlantis did a joint training course for the correspondents from both community radio stations. The training took place from the 24th – 28th June 2013 at Bush Radio, and included 10 trainees from each station. The training was aimed at motivating and transfer skills and knowledge to integrate a range of ICT platforms into radio regular programming. This will positively increase the quality and effectiveness of radio programming on developmental issues. More
