  • H.R.H. Princess Firyal meets with UNESCO’s Education Sector

16-02-2005 3:00 pm During her visit to Paris, H.R.H. Princess Firyal met with high-ranking representatives of UNESCO’s Education Sector on 16 February 2005. This visit was conceived as a follow-up to the previous meeting between Mr Koïchiro Matsuura, UNESCO Director-General, and H.R.H. Princess Firyal on 14 September 2004, when she undertook the task to promote UNESCO’s Education for All Programme (EFA).firyal.jpg

During the last meeting, the progress made in EFA, as well as new initiatives in this domain, such as Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), were assessed. Eager to learn more about the needs and priorities of EFA, H.R.H. Princess Firyal was in favour of the idea to participate in a field trip to one of the countries striving to achieve EFA goals.
