Water and Education for the Americas

Caribbean-SIDS are among the countries taking part in a programme aimed at changing perceptions and knowledge about the use of water from childhood years.

More particularly, an educative toolkit is being tested by teachers in primary education, building on trials and workshops in 2003-2004 which included participants from Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Further development of the toolkit in schools is being carried out as part of the Water for Life (2005-2014) initiative.
