    Below you will find a small sample of completed or on-going extra-budgetary projects that have been funded by UNESCO's Government donors.

    UNESCO’s cooperation with bilateral Government donors is based upon UNESCO’s mandate and the national development strategies established by the beneficiary countries as well as the geographical and substantive priorities applied by the individual Government donor.

    The examples below are categorized by UNESCO’s main themes.
