YAHAnet is an interactive, online tool designed by and for youth that provides a space for collaboration and showcases creative expressions from around the world in response to HIV & AIDS.
Using an interdisciplinary approach combining public health, education, art, and technology; YAHAnet.org invites youth to share their creative vision and build a global community for arts-based initiatives that address HIV and AIDS. YAHAnet provides a platform where young people can share ideas, display artistic messages, acquire knowledge, learn about new approaches and develop leadership skills – all while creating connections and networks worldwide.
YAHAnet was developed through youth participation facilitated by McGill University under the stewardship of Professor Claudia Mitchell, in partnership with the Center for Visual Methodologies and Social Change at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and the University of Toronto, with the support of UNESCO.
