HIV and AIDS

Resource Pack on Gender and HIV/AIDS

This Resource Pack tackles gender inequality, a key underlying factor that fuels HIV epidemics. It contains three papers that aim to promote a gender-enlightened and comprehensive response to HIV and AIDS.

Resource Pack on Gender and HIV/AIDS

The Resource Pack includes the following practical tools and guidance:

  • Operational Guide: Checklists for gender and rights based approach in a) programming, b) funding support, c) communication and d) networking and advocacy.

  • Review Paper : Provides guidance on gender sensitive programmes, transformative interventions, interventions that empower and structural elements for gender integration.

  • Fact Sheets : Includes sheets on gender and human rights, education, young people, violence against women, the world of work, rural development and indicators for monitoring and evaluation.
