HIV and AIDS

Improving research quality: how good is the literature on the impact of education on HIV and AIDS?

This Background Note, published by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) with support from the IATT on Education, builds on the assessment report on the quality of the evidence available with regard to the impact of education on HIV and AIDS responses. It presents key findings from the assessment and outlines some gaps in evidence and research. Based on the framework used for the assessment, the Note then provides some practical guidance and 10 best practice examples for conducting quality research and ends with some suggestions on further research around the policy-research interface.
