Part II.C Participation Programme

The Participation Programme provides direct complementary assistance for initiatives undertaken by Member States and Associate Members in the Organization’s fields of competence, in line with the priorities that they determine. Such assistance under the Participation Programme is intended to promote national, subregional or interregional activities that fall within the strategic objectives and the biennial sectoral programme priorities of the Organization. It also strengthens partnership between the Organization and its Member States and between the Organization and international non-governmental organizations maintaining official relations with UNESCO.
