Education Sector Global HIV & AIDS Readiness Survey 2004: Policy Implications for Education and Development (2006)

This report documents the outcomes of the first international survey of education sector readiness to manage and mitigate the impact of HIV and AIDS.

It synthesises the responses of Ministries of Education (MoEs) in 71 countries and civil society organizations in 18 countries regarding:



The report interprets disagreements, identifies both the challenges and opportunities that present themselves, and address issues of operational importance. Finally, the report concludes by identifying policy implications and providing recommendations to influence future responses in the education sector.
