On March 29-30, 2007, Education ministers from all of Latin America and the Caribbean will meet in Buenos Aires (Argentina) to review the successes, difficulties, challenges and learned lessons in order to continue to advance toward this important goal.

In this interview, Ana Luiza Machado, UNESCO’s Deputy Assistant Director General for Education, summarizes progress made since the first meeting of PRELAC (Havana, 2002) and the main topics of the ministerial meeting.
