Workshop on Integrated HIV and AIDS Planning and Implementation for the Education Sector

From 26-10-2009 to 30-10-2009 (Angola) 

In an effort to promote South-South Cooperation in the context of EDUCAIDS (the UNESCO-led Global Initiative on Education and HIV & AIDS), UNESCO BREDA and UNESCO Brasilia are organizing, in partnership with the Government of Angola, a workshop for Lusophone countries in Africa, to be held in Luanda, Angola from 26 – 30 October 2009.

The workshop will bring together country delegates, and more specifically representatives from Ministries of Education and Ministries of Health, for orientation and discussions on evidence-based planning and mutisectoral cooperation in support of Education Sector responses to HIV and AIDS.

This endeavour seeks to improve education sector’s contributions to achieving universal access in participating countries, including by optimizing and expanding partnerships between the Education and Health sectors.
