Capacity development and training in gender mainstreaming - Iraq Office (30/01/07 to 1/02/07)

 
Expected outcomes. At the end of the workshop participants will:

- Understand the necessity, rationale and legitimacy of gender mainstreaming approach, its aims and relevance in everyday work;
- Understand gender equality as a cross-cutting issue and how it contributes to UNESCO’s support to achieving international development goals in Member States;
- Understand what gender mainstreaming is about and how it actually works at UNESCO;
- Understand men’s roles and responsibilities towards gender equality
- Be familiar with gender equality issues related to UNESCO’s work in Iraq
- “Hands-on” coaching sessions on Gender Mainstreaming
