    French fashion industry icon and international businessman Pierre Cardin was designated UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in 1991.

    He has initiated many humanitarian projects and organized numerous public campaigns for the benefit of Chernobyl nuclear disaster victims.

    An untiring advocate for tolerance and mutual understanding, Pierre Cardin takes advantage of his travels to spread the message of brotherhood and unity, symbolically raising the Six Flags of Tolerance wherever the opportunity arises.
