  • Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem of Morocco
    Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, daughter of His Majesty the late King Hassan II of Morocco, was designated UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in July 2001. She focuses her ambassadorship on UNESCO projects for women and children, advocating their rights on an international level. While discharging numerous prestigious official functions, H.R.H. Princess Lalla Meryem has concentrated her efforts on the social and cultural realm. She takes great interest in the role of women in Arab society and in Morocco in particular and has been a foremost campaigner for the ratification of the International Convention for the Rights of the Child.
