UNESCO videos on HIV and AIDS

UNESCO has developed three videos for World AIDS Day on 1 December 2008.

UNESCO’s response to HIV and AIDS
Duration: 5 minutes 30 seconds

This video provides a brief overview of UNESCO’s activities and strategy on HIV and AIDS, based on contributions from all UNESCO's programme sectors, its field offices, and other partners worldwide.

Briser le joug du SIDA
Duration: 6 minutes 30 seconds

A song by Bénédicte Wora from Gabon, in French with English subtitles.

The song calls for individual and collective action to address HIV and AIDS. Its production was supported by UNESCO office in Libreville, Gabon.

Leich (“why?”)
Duration: 4 minutes 23 seconds

A song by “Iwan” (Lebanon), in Arabic, produced by UNESCO Beirut.

The song targets young people in the Arab Region, addressing HIV and AIDS in a culturally-appropriate way. It was produced by UNESCO's Culture Sector (contact Joseph Kreidi for more information).



The format of the videos is Windows Media file (WMV). Download VLC Media player if you cannot read them. Note for optimal viewing your internet connection should be 250KB/second or more.
