United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World AIDS Day provides an occasion for individuals and groups to come together to raise awareness on HIV and AIDS and to demonstrate their solidarity with those who live with HIV and those who are affected by the epidemic. It is an opportunity to provide information on the epidemic and to promote prevention, treatment, care and support for those affected by HIV and AIDS around the world.
