Finalists and winner of the eYeka competition in support of WSIS+10 Review event

Marking the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the WSIS Plan of Action, UNESCO, in cooperation with ITU, UNCTAD and UNDP, organized the first review meeting entitled “Towards Knowledge Societies for Peace and Sustainable Development” held in Paris, France, from 25 to 27 February 2013.

On this occasion, UNESCO organized the poster contest “Freedom and Capacity of Knowledge” at eYeka online platform (www.eyeka.org)  from 28 August until 20 September 2012, which attracted more than 140 entries from all over the world. The entries demonstrated the diversity of Knowledge Societies and addressed why knowledge for all is important.
