    Conductor Valery Guerguiev designated as UNESCO Artist for Peace
    World renowned conductor Valery Gergiev, Director of St. Petersburg’s Mariinsky Theatre, was designated as UNESCO Artist for Peace through the Dialogue Between Cultures and Civilizations by the Director-General, Mr Koïchiro Matsuura.
