“Earthsavers DREAMS Ensemble” named UNESCO Artists for Peace
The Director-General of UNESCO, Mr Koïchiro Matsuura designated the famous Philippine theatre company “Eartshavers DREAMS Ensemble” as UNESCO Artists for Peace in the presence of the President of the Philippines, H. E. Mrs Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at a nomination ceremony at UNESCO Headquarters on 29 September 2003. The company was founded by Ms Cecile Guidote-Alvarez and is composed of artists from disadvantaged backgrounds and indigenous communities. More |
