UNESCO Chair in Tourist planning and Sustainable Development (236), established in 1991 at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria within the framework of the ISA Network, (Spain).

Regional planning; Tourism and Environment Protection.

Objectives

  • To create a teaching and research program (international master in tourism) on regional planning and the environmental impact of tourism.
  • The Chair is the focal point of the ISA network with the University of La Laguna (Spain).
