The 8th Meeting of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) was held in Pretoria, South Africa, from 11 to 15 June 2007.

The International Advisory Committee (IAC) is appointed by the Director-General of UNESCO to guide the planning and implementation of the "Memory of the World" Programme as a whole.

The main purpose of the meeting was to review the progress achieved by the Memory of the World Programme and make recommendations to the Director-General concerning the award of the Jikji Prize and the inscription of documentary heritage on the Memory of the World Register, as well as raising funds for the Programme.
