Vacancies at the UNESCO Viet Nam Office in Ha Noi

UNESCO Viet Nam periodically publishes announcements of local vacancies on this page. 

 

UNESCO Viet Nam, a member of the One United Nations Team, is seeking a qualified, service-oriented and proactive professional for the position of Programme Officer.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist composing and editing press releases, speeches, proposals, presentations, website content, and other documents and reports;
  • Produce a newsletter for relevant programmes;
  • Support production and editing of materials to ensure quality content and coherence;
  • Support the request and processing of permits to use, adapt and translate materials to be used for the development of e-learning courses and other educational materials, courses or documents.
  • Support preparation of materials for seminars, workshops, trainings and other meetings.
  • Carry out research and desk reviews to identify useful and adequate content for developing products and documents.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting of programme activities and quality control for deliverables, as required.
  • Assist in the development of concept notes and project proposals to be used in fundraising for extra budgetary funds.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in political science, international relations or other related fields.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • At least two years of experience in one or more of the following the areas: i) project management; ii) monitoring and reporting; ii) fundraising; iii) education; iv) gender.
  • Proven ability to produce quality work with accuracy in a timely fashion and to meet deadlines;
  • Service-oriented, motivated and respectful individual with the capacity to work well within a team;
  • Immediate availability;
  • Previous experience within the United Nations, knowledge of UNESCO and experience in Viet Nam would be considered as an asset.

UNESCO Viet Nam, a member of the UN team, is seeking a qualified, highly committed, service-oriented and proactive national professional for the position of Programme Assistant. Dynamic young men and women are strongly encouraged to apply and join the UNESCO Viet Nam team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support including, but not limited to translation, interpretation, and processing of information;
  • maintain filing and relevant databases; manage correspondence;
  • Support meetings and events, take notes, prepare briefing reports and minutes and follow-up on required actions;
  • Provide assistance to programmes by carrying out desk reviews, supporting research and preparations of presentations and other materials;
  • Contribute to preparation of press releases, speeches, fundraising proposals, website content, reports and others;
  • Coordinate with all team members to ensure the quality of results.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant academic qualifications;
  • Experience in translation and/or interpretation;
  • At least two years of proven experience in programme assistance and/or administration;
  • Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Vietnamese;
  • Self‐motivated, dynamic, respectful, diplomatic and committed;
  • Service-oriented and team work competencies;
  • Time-availability and willingness to travel, as required.
