Swaziland


Swaziland joined UNESCO on 25 January, 1978. The country is covered by the Organization's Regional Office in Windhoek, Namibia.

Swaziland is home to an institution which is part of the UNEVOC network for technical education and professional training. The country has finalized its national plan for Education for All, with UNESCO's help.

Swaziland participates in EDUCAIDS, a UNESCO-led response to HIV and AIDS. This initiative aims to address the impact of HIV/AIDS, prevent the spread of HIV and support education systems related to HIV/AIDS learning environments.

The Japanese government is giving one million dollars to projects in five countries taking part in EDUCAIDS, a UNESCO-led worldwide initiative to boost countries’ comprehensive education sector responses to HIV and AIDS.
