Structure of the CommissionThe National Commission consists of the following bodies:
- The General Assembly
- The Specialized Committees made up of 6 sub-committees dealing with: (1) Education; (2) Science; (3) Culture and Communications; (4) Social Sciences; (5) Higher Education and (6) External Relations. The sub-committees meet at least twice a year.
Members/CompositionThe National Commission comprises 20 members representing the Ministries, universities and individuals.
General AssemblyComposed of 20 members including the Secretaries-General of various ministries (Education; Science, Technology and Innovation; Women, Family and Community Development; Information, Communication and Culture; Higher Education; Foreign Affairs; Rural and Regional Development; Youth and Sports; Energy, Green Technology and Water; Finance; and Human Resource), Vice-Chancellors of universities and individuals. The General Assembly meets once or twice a year.
