Co-operation between Monaco and UNESCO in the cultural field in particular concerns contemporary artistic creation and issues relating to the Mediterranean, combining the protection of heritage and intercultural dialogue, by means of the Mediterranean Programme: the question of towns, new technologies and heritage, and maritime heritage.

The princedom has organized a number of meetings on these subjects.
