  • Early learning in Jordan

Jordan joined UNESCO on June 14, 1950. The UNESCO Office in Amman, ensures the implementation of programmes in the country and also temporarily houses the UNESCO Office for Iraq.

The country participates in EDUCAIDS, a UNESCO-led response to HIV and AIDS. This initiative aims to address the impact of HIV/AIDS, prevent the spread of HIV and support education systems related to HIV/AIDS learning environments.

Jordan holds five UNESCO Chairs and also plays an active role in the Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet). with over 80 schools participating.
